France, 1918. The First World War is nearing its end, and the sooner the German army is defeated, the more lives can be saved. In the woods at Argonne, an American battalion of 500 men is cut off by the Germans and fall behind enemy lines. They must hold their position at any cost against superior German numbers. This becomes one of the greatest feats of World War 1.
